The Nutrition Coordinator is primarily responsible to support implementation of Nutrition programs for the Floods 2022 Emergency Response. Working closely with the Program Manager Nutrition and partner NGOs, the Nutrition Coordinator will support partners and frontline workers for ensuring high quality standards in the technicality and quality delivery of the Nutrition programs at the Mobile and Static Health Facilities. S/He will support training/capacity building of Health and Nutrition staff, partners’ teams and front line workers as required, program monitoring, supervision, report writing, ensuring that project meets stated goals and reporting requirements. S/He is expected to represent the organization at the Nutrition working group/s at provincial level, other provincial and district level meetings with INGOs, UN and national stakeholders

Programme Coordination:


In collaboration with implementing partners and MEAL department, support the implementation, reporting and monitoring of program activities according to international and SCI standards, ensuring that programs objectives, indicators and outcomes are met in a timely manner and with quality.

Work closely with Program Manager to ensure all procedures, codes of conduct and policies are followed and upheld and ensure compliance in all facets of technical aspect of program implementation.

Ensure programs utilize standardized protocols, policies and guidelines according to the national standards or in the absence of such ensure that programs utilize internationally recognized standards.

Ensure appropriate management systems are in place regarding all SC supported activities including but not limited to monitoring, security and health and safety, HR, and accountability.

Conduct regular monitoring and support visits to the field sites, working closely with implementing partners to ensure the on-going relevance of programme direction and support.

Contribute to the documentation and communication of learning within the organization and seek, where possible, to share that learning with key stakeholders.

Technical support and quality assurance:

Provide support in capacity building trainings and developing protocols, SoPs, ToRs for Nutrition services.

Ensure supplies of technical guidelines/protocols/tools in all Mobile and Static Health Facilities.


Capacity building:


Jointly with Program Manager Nutrition, implement capacity-building plan for SC staff, implementing partners, and health and Nutrition service providers.
